Since 2005, EAT has been a supporting partner of Mpingo Conservation and Development, an NGO based in Tanzania. Mpingo Conservation and Development carries out activities to develop community-owned forest areas, ecological research and awareness-raising programmes to promote understanding of rights and economic benefits of the forest for sustainable utilisation by communities.

EAT plans to form similar partnerships with other Africa-based projects in future, where this helps with achieving its objectives.

EAT, through its association with Mpingo Conservation and Development, also works closely with Fauna and Flora International (FFI) in offering mutual support to ongoing work in community based forest management in Tanzania and trade in sustainably managed timber.

EAT's work is greatly enabled by advisory support from Kilimanyika, a livelihoods and natural resource management service provider. Kilimanyika's interest is in the promotion of effective utilisation and sustainable management of natural resources in the developing world, in order to support both human livelihoods and environmental conservation. Kilimanyika are managing the Sound & Fair campaign on behalf of EAT.

EAT and their partners work closely together and with other stakeholders to achieve a positive and beneficial result to their stated objectives. Partnerships vary according to the nature of the work at hand. EAT is always interested in hearing of new partners and opportunities, whether in supporting exisiting project work or in engaging with new opportunities.
