Since 2005, EAT has been a supporting partner of the Mpingo Conservation and Development Initiative, an NGO based in Tanzania. The Mpingo Conservation and Development Initiative carries out activities to develop community-owned forest areas, ecological research and awareness-raising programmes to promote understanding of rights and economic benefits of the forest for sustainable utilisation by communities.

EAT plans to form similar partnerships with other Africa-based projects in future, where this helps with achieving its objectives.

EAT, through its association with the Mpingo Conservation and Development Initiative, also works closely with Fauna and Flora International (FFI) in offering mutual support to ongoing work in community based forest management in Tanzania and trade in sustainably managed timber.

EAT's work is greatly enabled by advisory and technical support from Kilimanyika, a firm that specialises in natural resources management issues. Kilimanyika's interest is in the promotion of effective utilisation and sustainable management of natural resources in the developing world, in order to support both human livelihoods and environmental conservation. Kilimanyika are managing the Sound & Fair campaign, of which EAT is a partner.

EAT and their partners work closely together and with other stakeholders to achieve a positive and beneficial result to their stated objectives. Partnerships vary according to the nature of the work at hand. EAT is always interested in hearing of new partners and opportunities, whether in supporting exisiting project work or in engaging with new opportunities.
